Absolutely loved staying in Clare's Salon de la Sirène. The space feels luxurious and elegant and had everything we needed for a long weekend in Byron. Clare is a super friendly and attentive host and even gave us a ride downtown to dinner one evening. We borrowed bikes from her almost everyday -- which made exploring Byron a breeze. My partner and I really enjoyed our peaceful stay with Clare and cannot wait to come back!

The location of the airbnb is perfect. It is located in a quiet place and the bed feels like you are sleeping on clouds! It really is a quiet oasis to relax and so stylish, decorated with attention to detail and it smells so good, like in a spa. You can really feel at home or better than home ;
There are cafes and beach within walking distance and Clare gave me directly an umbrella for the beach. Further stores, restaurants and co. are a 5 minute drive away. I have only visited the restaurants from Clare's guide and I am really excited, everything tasted so good. Byron Bay is one of the most beautiful places and the people are all as friendly as Clare.
I am grateful that the airbnb was available and thankful for the great stay and just sad that it was so short. I would definitely like to come back.
If you also want to go to Byron Bay and have an unforgettable stay then go to Clare :-)

Clare is a fantastic host, really does everything she can to make sure her guests have the best possible stay. I could have not asked for more from a host, she is always there to help if needed. The place is spotless and has all the amenities you would need. Bed and pillows also extremely comfortable, I slept great during my stay. Also great to have the outdoor patio area to relax in. Location is also good with plenty of amenities nearby and walking distance to the shops/beach. A very different style to other Byron accommodation which is nice, love the tiles and bathroom sink, very tastefully decorated. Thanks again for a great stay, highly recommend.

Clare is a superb host whose communication is exemplary. She is very easy to chat with and makes the whole experience personable. There are also business cards linking you to her guidebook placed in the room for convenience.
The salon itself is a beautiful journey you’ll be excited to step into and experience. Private, quiet and luxurious, the detailing adds charm and character. Even the shower feels like you have been transported away with a light perfectly positioned to turn the water into glistening droplets against the dark tiles.
If you are tired of the same white, beach-style accommodation along the coast, I implore you to give this sexy salon a chance.

The apartment was full of amenities, very clean and oozed with the tranquility which fitted very nicely to the chill out environment of Byron Bay. Goodness, this adorable, unique studio really delivers. So much more than expected - I believe the current photos are temporary so it’s hard to see from them just how much personality and pizazz this place has.

Absolutely stunning. Photos don’t do it justice - there are so many beautiful touches; it’s like being transported to another world! There’s Moroccan tiles, gorgeous bathrobes, the most comfy bed and wait til you see the bathroom - it’s so sexy! The courtyard was the perfect place for afternoon drinks before heading out to dinner. A cosy and comfortable spot. The place is very clean and well-decorated. It has all necessities. It is a 20-min walk to the city centre and closer to two lovely brunch and dinner spots. It is located in a lovely neighbourhood that feels extremely safe. Can't say enough about the host, Clare is down-to-earth and extremely accomodating. We arrived with no plans, and after chatting with Clare, we had plenty of restaurant recommendations, and things to do, which made our trip wonderful.

The stay at this AirBnB was INCREDIBLE. Clare was so super welcoming, friendly and communicative. It is so close to everything you could possibly want from cute cafes to beautiful spots to explore. Location wise, you can't get any better and more convenient. The bed was insanely comfortable, the shower was lovely and the surroundings were incredibly peaceful and quiet. We loved our stay at Clare's place! My partner and I thought this was a great base for exploring Byron Bay and surrounding towns. Since we were visiting in winter, we drove into town each day. But if visiting in warm weather, I think the location would be great for walking or biking. The courtyard is a beautiful place to look at the stars at night. We'd definitely recommend staying here!

I couldn’t recommend Clare’s place more. An easy ride to town but so quiet and calm. The studio has a really special and relaxing feel to it. It was super private and absolutely exactly what we were looking for to access the fun of Byron but also be able to escape the crowds and noise when we wanted to. I had the most relaxing 4 nights at Clare's place. The studio is in a nice little quiet part of town, it was very clean and had all amenities I needed. The bed and pillows were comfy with nice linens, plenty of towels and nice little thin beach towels which made it easy to carry around in my bag. Clare was always in contact making sure I had everything I needed and since the weather wasn't the best, she gave me plenty of options of things to do on a rainy day. The best part was having the bike as this gave me a real opportunity to look around Byron, it's beaches and even a bit further out. It made getting into town so easy (probably only took 8 minutes) and saved me so much money on Ubers! Thanks Clare and I'll definitely be coming back! x

The most perfect first Air BnB experience! Clare's property is a little slice of paradise, perfectly nestled in a peaceful neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle. Its an easy flat 20-minute stroll, or 10-minute bike ride into town. The bikes are a great addition for guests to use; ducking down the road for a coffee (Byron General Store), or across to Tallows Beach for a morning swim. The studio has a great vibe about it, and feels like a home away from home. It is very sun-drenched and spacious, especially with the private outdoor courtyard, where we enjoyed having a few drinks after days at the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at Clare's listing, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, whilst also been close enough to all the action Byron has to offer.

Only one little thing which is not the fault of the host is I wish there is street light outside the house to improve security. This is up to strata management I guess. Clare’s studio is exactly as described. Perfectly sized for 2 people, with a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed.
There are very basic food prep items available, again, exactly as described.
Although situated off a busy road, it was so peaceful inside the studio and in your own private outdoor space.
The walk into town takes roughly 20 mins, so there’s no need to take the car. There’s also a beautiful walk to Tallow Beach, roughly 15 mins.
Clare also made some great restaurant recommendations. Bang Bang for amazing Thai food. No Bones has excellent vegetarian and vegan food and The Balcony on a Wednesday, has $1.50 oysters.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend Clare’s place for a pleasant stay.

Such a beautiful little spot to stay! It was its own private little bungalow / apartment type and the decor was beautiful as was the little out door area. Clean, stylish but homely, relaxing, and serene (the garden is stunning and the fairy lights are a special treat). The location could not have been better, it’s not too far out of town and my partner and I rode the complimentary bikes into town on many occasions. We felt instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived, the space is spotless, stylish and really rally comfortable, fab shower and pillows! Wonderful to have the bikes as it's a little out of the centre and we did some great exploring with them further around Byron. Claire was really helpful and always quick to respond to any queries we had.
Overall I can't recommend Claire and her sanctuary enough, she clearly cares very much about giving her guests a great stay and that shines through! :)

The room was very comfortable (the bed was wonderful!) and it was a lovely tranquil spot. The separate entrance made it feel very private. Bikes are available and otherwise it’s only a 5 minute drive into town centre and the main beaches.
Overall, a wonderful spot to base yourself whilst in Byron and highly recommended.

This really was a perfect experience right from the time we booked. Clare provided so much care and assistance all the way up to the time of our stay, including allowing us to check in hours early. We were given such a warm welcome by Clare and her family on arrival after which she provided so much information and advice on places to eat and things to see in Byron. It had everything you needed + more (in case you forgot to bring some toiletry items for example.) Bikes available to ride into town, heaps of parking spaces if you have a car. What a beautiful little place! We really enjoyed our stay here. Was in a great spot if you wanted to walk to town or bike ride (with the awesome provided bikes). We also had a car which was fantastic for even more freedom plenty of parking at the place. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was so lovely. It had a lovely outdoor area we unfortunately couldn't use due to bad weather but would be gorgeous to relax in. It is a bit cramped if you want to prepare/ cook food. Clare our host was absolutely amazing, she gave us clear instructions from start to finish and left cute notes in the accommodation to make sure we knew where and what everything was and does.
We met up with Clare during our stay and she took some time out to show us a map of town and guided us to some of her favourite spots.
The highlight was the bikes that we could use in the courtyard. Although we had a hire car Byron bay is mostly pay parking. The bikes were a great way to explore Byron. The bikes definitely had some character.

Whether you're in Byron for a weekend stay or have just got off a long haul flight, Clare is the perfect welcome you need! We arrived late, so it was dark and a little difficult to find the property - however, if I'd read the helpful instructions from Clare we would have found it straight away! Tip 1 - read your messages :)
The apartment is exactly as described - clean, spacious, well decorated and smells good too. A couple of fans to keep you cool are all you need, and all windows have fly screens so you can leave them open to get a cool breeze and the sounds of the forest while you sleep.
Location - an easy 20 mins walk into town, or quicker on the bikes Clare provides (we didn't use) or 5 mins by car. Parking is a bit of a challenge, so Tip 2 - I'd advise to slip, slop, slap (apply sun cream) and pop a hat on to walk in to town. Everyone walks or takes a bike, a great way to get your daily steps up!
Your host Clare - wow, what can I say? Perfect! She genuinely cares, very knowledgable about the area and gives great tips on where to visit or places to eat.
The local area - the Roadhouse cafe is 5 mins walk down the road, a fantastic place for brekky or dinner (book for dinner though!) and a couple of cocktails. We walked to the local beach - probably 10-15 mins over the hill and through the forest. Breathtaking views, open and quiet beach and if you're there late in the day - you may see a kangaroo in the woodlands. Ideal Aussie experience! The ocean is pretty choppy so we didn't venture in - but mesmerising to listen to. Ideal beach for walking or a jog.
Staying at Clare's you really feel like a local. You have your own entrance to the property, an outdoor area for drying beach towels or bathers plus a hose to wash your sandy feet. Thanks again Clare for being a fantastic host.

From the very beginning when we booked, our experience with Clare was wonderful. She had such a caring attitude and made us feel so welcome even before we arrived.
The room is excellent, it has a beautiful little garden that is very private and Clare had really thought of everything to make our stay as special as possible. Great care was taken to ensure that we were comfortable and Clare was available anytime we needed anything. This is our first Air B n B experience and it has exceeded all of our expectations. We were about 20 mins walk into town and the main beach and about 10 mins to Tallow Beach on bikes.

Love love loved this place. Every little detail had been thought about to make our stay as easy and relaxing as possible.
The location was perfect for what we wanted. Close enough to ride into town but just that bit away from the town centre to escape into our own little oasis. The room was very clean and spacious, the bathroom pure luxury! We had our own private outdoor areas, one in the sun and one under the shade of a lovely garden.
Our favourite cafe in Byron 'The Roadhouse' was 200m down the road so very easy to walk down for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Clare was a fantastic host. We really did feel welcomed. And she was all over recommendations on where to go and what to do around town. She kept in contact to make sure we were enjoying our time and making the most of our break.
All in all couldn't have asked for anything more! Would love to come back some time.

Our recent stay at Clare's place in Byron Bay was exactly what we needed. The room / bathroom were clean and new. We had ample space for all our things and the setting was so beautiful! We watched a huge storm one night from the ledge in the room as there are so many windows that let you see outside! The garden was gorgeous too. It had everything we needed to have breakfast in the room. We were very comfortable there.
Clare was gorgeous and was constantly checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and happy. They left 2 bicycles for us so it was easy to get into town and back and when we hired a car, there were spaces to park just outside the place. Very happy with our time there and would stay again without question.
Oh, and the beach (Tallows) that was closest to the place was the most beautiful of all of them in my opinion

Clare's accomodation is a quiet, tranquil haven perfect for a relaxing and refreshing getaway. We had everything we needed, and more! The location is perfect, with Tallows Beach nearby and a stroll in to town, perfect for walking off all the yummy food you will no doubt be eating in town!

Clare's studio apartment is perfectly set up for a relaxing stay in Byron. The space is beautifully designed and decorated, the bed and pillows are lush (best sleep in months!) the room smells devine and the outlook on to the private tree lined terrace ups the feel of seclusion and privacy. Although a studio, there is a fridge, toaster and crockery which makes it easier for a longer stay. Minutes walk from the beach and near by Roadhouse cafe and less then 5 min drive into the centre of Byron it is incredibly well positioned. I've stayed at a couple of airbnb's in Byron and although they were also wonderful, Clare's is definitely my favourite.

We stayed at Clare's place for five nights and highly recommend her wonderful studio. Everything is as described and we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room and private courtyard. It felt like our own little oasis in Byron. Communication with Clare was fantastic and she went above and beyond to assist us in enjoying a much needed break without at all being intrusive or overbearing. Enjoy the quieter side of Byron amongst the locals with nearby cafes, national park and secluded beach, as well as an enjoyable 20 walk into town and even faster if you have a car.

Claire was a great host, welcoming us with a great itinerary and suggestions. Her restaurant recommendations really helped as its so difficult and risky to find good restaurants when travelling and eliminated the risk of wasting money on bad food!!
We borrowed her bikes which was awesome in Byron! So very ideal if you want to cruise around cheaply! Everything is so close.
The amenities and bed were spot on and everything was a lot better than we expected.
Its only a 5-10 min cycle into the main town centre off byron so iut was an ideal location.
More importantly, she made our stay and birthday weekend very welcoming.
Another note: Mount Warning is a great mountain hike - only 1 hour drive away from here which is ideal as its usually so hard to reach from most places people stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Clare's place. The room itself was beautifully presented, very clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed having a cup of tea in the small private courtyard in the mornings. Clare recommended some lovely cafes and we borrowed the bikes to ride to Suffolk which took around 15mins. Clare's place is within walking distance of the centre of Byron and also has a bus stop close by which was very convenient. Clare was a fantastic host and kept in touch with us during our trip. We had such a lovely time staying here! The place is so close to everything and it was a breeze getting around. The room itself was perfect - plenty of room and completely self contained. My stay at Clare's house provided a wonderful space for a much needed 'time out'. Clare is a wonderful host, helpful and generous of herself without being in any way invasive. Big thanks to Clare for a wonderful stay, and for taking the time to add little personal touches and give advice to make my time in Byron special. This is a gorgeous little studio attached to the main house but very private. It is beautifully decorated, has a comfy bed and everything you could need as long as you don't want to cook hot food - which I didn't! It does have a small fridge, plates, cutlery, a kettle, toaster, mugs etc to prepare cold food. A perfect place to relax and enjoy Byron.

On top of offering an beautifully decorated getaway, we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome from Clare herself, and gorgeous handwritten notes inside the room. Clare offered fantastic local knowledge and advice, natural, organic toiletries which I in particular appreciate, and a clean, inviting atmosphere.
To anyone looking for a getaway in Byron, set ideally just away from the traffic in the centre of town, I would definitely recommend 'Scandinavian Simplicity'.

We absolutely loved the cottage, it was cosy, clean and had all of the small touches you look for in accommodation like rosemary on the pillow, robes, chocolate and gorgeous soaps. Clare provided us with two bikes which we loved - it meant we could take a short 10min ride (if that) into town, explore and have a wine or two with dinner.

Clare provided a wonderful oasis for us to escape the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay. The unit was wonderfully set up and everything was exactly as expected. The room is private and Clare and her family were very respectful of our space. There is a great beach an easy and short walk away and I highly recommend checking out the roadhouse for lunch (just a short 600m walk away). I would happy spend another weekend in the unit.

Clare was a welcoming and friendly host who endeavoured to make our stay as comfortable as possible and has lots of useful advice about places of interest both in Byron Bay and surrounding towns. The accomodation entails a generous sized room and ensuite with a private garden courtyard and separate entry. Everything needed for a short comfortable stay was provided including kettle, toaster,small fridge and culinary supplies, so guests can prepare their own basic breakfast and lunch if required. Bed was really comfortable and fluffy robes are also provided for guest use. The accomodation is in a very quiet residential area of town, and Clare provides free bicycles for the 2km ride to town and/or beach and ample parking is available for guests with cars. We are happy to recommend Clare's place as economical and comfortable alternative in BB.

We really enjoyed staying at the Scandinavian Simplicity abode. So close to the centre, we were able to walk to and from with groceries and after dinner. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Clare and her super positive energy. Safe, lockable, secure with accessible parking and 10 minutes walk to Wattego’s beach. We were stoked on the chat thrown down in the beginning, a nice way to determine common ground. We would certainly return in the future, to this private and comfortable little stylish nook in Byron. What a truly wonderful stay we had at Clare's beautiful studio this past weekend. It is such a stunning space, very well designed and beautifully decorated. Walking distance to an awesome southern food restaurant and Byron CBD. Nice and quiet and a great beach for running across the road. The aspect is lovely with a private courtyard perfect for sunbathing or reading a book. Could not recommend highly enough.

Clare is also a great host and gave us lots of ideas regarding what to do during our stay. I'd advise people to hire some bicycles if you intend on making frequent trips into town (an easy ride) as it's a bit too far to walk multiple times a day. Great place!

Highly recommend this place based on location( at the start of the town from Sydney side and near the roadhouse cafe! )value for money and the loveliest host in clare.
The room is more impressive than in the photos , the cost is private room prices for what is essentially your own enclave and clare was easy to communicate with the whole time. I was there on Election Day and she even reminded me to vote and provide all directions to polling stations without me asking.

South east corner of new family home made private by it's own courtyard and entrance. Situated in quiet neighbourhood just off the busy Bangalow Road. Very convenient to Byron centre and beaches, by car and bicycle. Tallow beach within walking distance. This room is a largish bedroom with an ensuite, but worked really well for me. A single person needing a quiet private place to come back to after activities elsewhere. Clare very good host and thoughtfully set up room with everything I needed. Reading lamp, lighter blanket, wifi and parking appreciated. Light and airy, clean and very comfortable bed.

We had an amazing stay with Clare in her beautiful studio that was light, fresh, stylish and immaculate. A short walk to town, it was located in a quiet street, so tranquil yet very convenient. A stones throw from Byrons beautiful beaches and buzzing town, it made for the perfect holiday. Clare was a wonderful host, very accommodating yet very respectful of our privacy. The studio had everything to make our stay comfortable, Clare even left some chocolates! Can't wait to stay again.

I had a wonderful time staying over Christmas for a few days at Clare's home- Clare is such a kind, respectful and lovely host who will do anything to make you feel comfortable. The place is a new very nice clean studio type apt, equipped with everything you may need for a few nights, and in close proximity of town center, shops and beaches, but far away to get a quiet night sleep (and to be woken up by the resident birds). It was the perfect base to explore beautiful Byron Bay!

The location is good, we drove to the main street of Byron about five minutes every day.

Clare is a generous and communicative hostess and with all that has been going on in the world during the pandemic, she was a solid support system.
The studio is lovely with beautiful and thoughtful touches everywhere. It was a comfortable and serene space with a very convenient location. Sits just close enough to the town and an easy up and over to the beach. The bikes were a benefit and having a visiting parking space was even more convenient.

Clare was an amazing host! Though we never had a chance to meet her, she was in communication and thoughtful in her recommendations. She gave us local tips (there was a lot of rain during our stay and she let us know which areas might be subject to flooding).
The space was thoughtfully designed and comfortable. The location was a short (2-5 minute) drive from all the action in town. I also got a weeklong pass at Creature Yoga that was conveniently down the street.
10/10 would stay again!

Simply the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. The bikes made our trip a million times easier, we rode everywhere not that we needed to as Clare’s is 2 mins walk either side to the BEST brunch spots in the whole of Byron!! The Roadhouse (turn right) and The General Store (turn left!) Just when we thought we couldn’t be better located, we discovered the beach 15 mins walk away. Clare’s speedy communication made life so much easier, she wants you to have the best time and it really shows. The room itself has hidden surprises of ammenities you definitely forgot to pack and the outdoor area is gorgeous, fairy lights and all. I will be recommended this air b n b to anyone who even mentions Byron- this is my advice to you... grab this place while you can!!!

The space is beautifully decorated, quiet, relaxed and the perfect place to enjoy a break from city life. The bed is SO comfortable, shower has great water pressure, there is plenty of lovely natural light, wifi worked well and the little touches like coffee pods & a fridge were much appreciated.
The bikes made getting into town a lovely way to start the day - we used them to visit the beach, town centre & even The Farm.
Clare was a wonderful communicator throughout our stay & gave us some great tips on where to eat.
This Airbnb is wonderful value & I couldn’t recommend it enough - we will definitely be back soon!

Clares Airbnb is a beautiful place with a lot of details and she really cares about making it a home away from home! Its a little bit out of the center of Byron, which makes it quite.
Its also only a 10 minutes walk to the eastern beach with hardly any people.

Clare's is small but very cute, it's attached to the back of her house, in the backyard which makes for beautiful scenery. It has very large windows which makes for a lot of light and that fuels the bright/welcoming vibe. On top of that, Clare is an amazing host - super helpful and full of great suggestions! Plus, she checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. Best of all - we had a special visitor in the backyard one night - a wild koala! Just made the trip even better :)

We loved this place. Perfect for two people. Clean, airy and really stylish. It is attached to the family home but has it’s own entrance and feels very secluded and private. Clare was so hospitable and welcomed us warmly with loads of local tips and recommendations that turned out to be absolutely fab. She gave us our privacy while still checking in with a message each day to see if we needed anything- so kind and helpful. Bikes provided are great and with them, it is a less than 10 minute cycle into the main hub of Byron. At night it can be a little dark so your own mini torch or bike light would be helpful but not essential!
We had lots of clean towels and the beach towels provided were a great touch. Clare even left us come chocolates and snacks as a welcome gift. For those who care, wifi was really strong too! Overall a perfect stay in Byron. Thanks Clare!

A beautiful little one-room apartment with own bathroom, fridge, coffee machine and a small terrace! The place offers everything you need for a lovely stay at byron bay. Tallow beach is only a 10minute walk away and is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen! Byron Bay town is only a ten minute ride by bike or 20min walk. Clare is definetly a superhost, helping you wherever she can! We felt like home in paradise!!! Highly recommended!!!

Clare was a fantastic host. She let us know what the best places to go and walk to in Byron Bay which was useful as we hadn't been here before. She was so welcoming, and had thought of everything in her accommodation to make it so comfortable, cosy and just beautiful. It was by far the best place we have stayed in our 5 weeks so far of travelling! The attention to detail was immaculate. I wish we could have stayed longer!!! I really want to come back now. I love yoga and all the spiritual things in Byron and I went to a class in the medical centre 5 minutes around the corner, and had a massage there. I also had a soul mentor/artisan aromatherapy session with the practitioner who was 2 minutes walk away which all led to a great experience in the location. That and of course some beach time! Thank you Clare, it was an unforgettable experience in a beautiful home.

Byron is such a beautiful town & Clare's place made a perfect base for us. The self contained unit was immaculate with everything we needed. The private access meant we could come & go as we pleased & we appreciated the privacy we were given. The two push bikes were a great addition to get us into town with a short flat ride in.

This is the perfect room for a solo traveler or couple staying in Byron Bay. The room is super comfortable and well decorated and you even have private outdoor area to enjoy your morning coffee. The bed and pillows are one of the comfiest I've had in an Airbnb and I've stayed in a lot! It's walkable distance to the main shopping/eating area or there are bikes provided for quicker travel. While you are there definitely try the Falafel place it is to die for! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would def stay again!

Myself and my partner had a really wonderful stay at Clare's place. Clare was actually away in Sydney but her communications prior to and during our stay were excellent and her husband was available for anything we might need. The place was spacious and perfect for a couple who are going to be eating out in Byron bay. Clare provided bicycles which we used to get to the lighthouse which was wonderful. We also had a lovely glass of wine with Clare's husband! The bed and fixtures and fittings were really comfortable and good quality and everything was very stylish. They even helped us enjoy the most of the sunshine after we checked out of their place because it was raining the rest of the days. That being said, the room had everything we needed to be content being cooped up there anyway. We stayed with Clare for five days and it was just a wonderful time!
The most important thing: the bed is amazing. Both me and my girlfriend had the best sleep in months there. You will definitely love it!
Clare is also a fantastic host. She makes sure that you have the best time possible and she knows the area extremely well - her recommendations were more than just useful and helped us a lot.
The location is a little outside from the small city centre of Byron Bay and it's a quiet retreat but you can walk into town in 10-15 minutes or you can take two bikes that Clare offers (we used them quiet often and it's very convenient). If you are lazy there's also Uber which is a good and not too expensive alternative. You can also walk to Tallows Beach in 10-15 minutes as well. For breakfast you can just stroll down the street to the Roadhouse Cafe.
Clare's studio is super nice as well - it has everything you need. It's also possible to fix some small breakfast there but it has no real kitchen if you expect that (I'd say you don't really need one anyways).

We had a fabulous time at Byron. Saw plenty of whales,dolphins and turtles. Would recommend a trip along the road to the Roadhouse Café. A very different, but pleasant experience and very good beer! Easy walking distance to the beach (10 mins) and you can reach the lighthouse from there too. 20 to 25 mins walk into town for all the shops bars and cafés. The room is very tastefully designed, furnished and equipped. A high level of detail clearly shows Clare's flair for design.

Such a beautiful room that was so clean, bright and refreshing after a day out exploring with a lovely little garden surrounding it on two sides and a private entrance so you can come and go to your hearts desire. Clare has thought of pretty much everything and I believe that if she could think of another tiny detail to make your stay more comfortable she probably would! From the first contact at booking to a very sad farewell when after 10 wonderful days I had to leave (although I truly could have lived there if they had let me) the communication was always great. Clare seemed to pre-empt everything from advice on how to get there, to checking on my arrival so she could make sure everything was all ready to welcome me and suggestions about things that were happening in the area or places to go visit. Clare is most definitely one of those perfect hosts that manages to get the balance of being there for you but letting you have your own privacy and space. It was such a pleasure to meet her and her gorgeous family and hope to see them again someday.
The house is just outside the main Byron town which is a blessing as it can get a little busy and a 10 minute walk to the trendy Roadhouse cafe which quickly became a regular stop for a healthful brunch. I loved the fact that it was a 15 minute relaxed walk through a strip of national park to the beautiful and quiet Tallow Beach. I was thrilled to catch sight of the little wallabies and birdlife there on numerous occasions as I headed out for a little beach therapy.

Our stay in Byron was probably the best AirBnb experience we've had. Clare and James were amazingly welcoming and caring hosts. They even invited us in for a glass of wine and a chat the night we arrived. Can't say enough good things about those two. The studio is bright, new, well decorated and comfortable for two of us. It was a good spot to hang out while in Byron. It's on the edge of the main town so we ended up driving in during the day/night. Something to consider. Bikes are around and the walk wouldn't be a huge issue if needed.

Clare kindly accepted our last-minute, crack-of-dawn request for lodging and even drove into town to pick up our backpacks from us so we could explore town until the room was available. She also drove us back into town for our departure. (our schedule happened to work when she was coming and going to work, so I think we got lucky.) She is friendly, charming, and a beautiful, gracious host who is very knowledgable about the area. The room was fantastic, comfortable, and nicely appointed- the shower/bathroom were spacious and airy. The cabinets had fixings for tea/coffee and a mini fridge allowed us to go buy some ready-to-eat groceries as there is no cooking appliances save for electric kettle, french press, etc. Plates, silverware, etc all there and we were able to have light meals in the room just fine. One of the best nearby location-based activities is the hike to town on the beach. We saw wallabies, crossing the path and got great scenic exercise as we walked along the ocean into the CBD of Byron Bay. The beach itself had only 2-3 people on it for a mile or two in either direction until the very north part close to town. This is a GEM of an experience. The waves were bold and plenty, the rips were strong, so be cautious if surfing and take a moment if swimming to get a feel for the direction and force of the waves and currents, gotta respect the ocean. We used the private patio area for a little yoga before shipping out to loosen up a bit. Oh, and the bed was fantastic!

Our stay with Clare was lovely! The studio is clean and spacious and has everything you could need. Clare provided anything and everything we asked for, gave us directions to great (hidden/local) cafes and was just generally a warm and helpful landlord.
The location is great – close to town by car (only a few minutes) and only 20 minutes walk. We had a car but I would recommend hiring a car anyway to really enjoy Byron including Main beach, Wategos, the lighthouse etc.
I would/hopefully will definitely stay here again Thanks Clare!

The perfect Air BnB experience. The studio is a beautiful mix of scandi-simplicity as described and Buddhist zen - partly due to the lovely decor but mostly thanks to Clare & family being such fabulous hosts. Clare was super helpful pre-booking and during my stay. Friendly, warm and full of great tips. The studio is a gentle 15 min walk (5 min bike ride, bike provided) from the centre of Byron which makes you feel like a local rather than a back-packer. The space is stylish, cute and perfect for one or a couple. Great wifi, delicious sushi nearby, fab yoga a few minutes away & close to Tallow beach. I stayed with Clare for 4 very relaxing days (3 nights) in the middle of a work-trip to Brisbane. She picked me up on arrival and let me check out at 4pm on my last day so I could make the most of the beach. When it rained she very sweetly texted me things to do in Byron when it's wet, told me the best place to see the whales and her food recommendations were spot on. If you want hustle & bustle then it's not for you, but if you want to stay somewhere chic, good value with a warm welcome, it's perfect.

The studio is beautifully designed and well-equipped with a luxurious, comfortable double bed and white fluffy towels. Clare was very prompt and helpful with all correspondence prior to my stay and it was a pleasure to meet her and her family briefly during my stay and she let me know about another beach (Tallow Beach) which is much closer to walk to than Main Beach (which is 30 mins walk). The Ballina Airport Easybus will pick up from this location.

My boyfriend and I had such a perfect stay! The room is even better in real life such a gorgeous room. It has everything you need as well. Walking distance to tallows beach and a short drive to the heart of Byron. We highly recommend Clare's place. Communication was brilliant and she is so knowledgable of the area and is very eager to help. All in all the perfect stay!!

Andrew and I had such a wonderful time staying in Clare's studio apartment. The room was set up with everything you could possibly think of and was very beautifully styled! We had a great time exploring byron with the help of some great insider tips from Clare. Such a lovely woman, very easy to chat too - with very sweet children. Sad to say goodbye, but will happily return again :)

The bed was very nice and the studio is very open and light. We were able to leave our luggage in town, which was very convenient. He highly recommend staying here.

Clare is a wonderful host! If you have a chance to meet your wonderful family and dream home in person, then be sure to visit it! With a lot of love for detail and in the trendy Scandinavia style we spent 2 nights in Byron with Clare! In particular, Clare's inside tips were worth it in gold (Farmer Market, waterfalls...) ! A memorable stay and highly recommended for couples! Everything very hip and easy! Happy traveling, guys!
